Why PVC?

PVC gives you the best insulation for the money. On a standard opening it will normally out-perform aluminium thermally and cost less, it never needs painting, and modern profiles are a long way from the yellowing white plastic people remember. For most replacement window projects in a house from the 1970s onwards, PVC is the sensible answer.

We are an Oknoplast Premium Partner. That means Veka profiles, Saint-Gobain glazing and a warranty of up to ten years — and it means we see the same ranges often enough to know how they behave in a Provençal summer.

What we make in PVC

• Windows

  One, two or three sashes, tilt-and-turn, fixed lights and shaped frames.

• French doors

  Full-height doors onto the terrace, in the same range as the windows.

• Sliding patio doors

  Sliding and lift-and-slide panels — see our sliding doors page.

• Front doors

  PVC entrance doors with multi-point locking and a choice of panel designs.

• Replacement in renovation

  Fitted over the existing frame, so nothing has to be re-rendered or re-plastered.

• Colours and woodgrains

  White, anthracite grey, sand and realistic woodgrain foils, inside and out.

Double glazing and comfort

Standard specification is double glazing with a low-emissivity coating and a warm-edge spacer, which keeps the heat in during winter and out during summer. We also fit acoustic glazing where there is road noise, laminated safety glass where the regulations call for it, and solar-control glazing on large west-facing openings.

If your existing frames are sound but the sealed units have misted up, we can replace just the glazing — see glazier and glass.

PVC or aluminium?

PVC for insulation and value on standard openings. Aluminium when you want very slim frames, a large glazed area or a specific RAL colour. We fit both, and on most jobs we will tell you honestly which one we would choose for that particular opening.
